A Daughter of Salem: Winter Solstice

This painting was an exercise in experimentation that ended in a finished piece. I try all kinds of things to make interesting marks and textures. Most of these experiments are specifically to be used later in other pieces through digital manipulation. In this case, however, I saw what should be a finished piece in my random mark making.
